Logo for Story Circle Storytelling combines the intensity of a solo performance with the intimacy of a face-to-face conversation. "Storytelling at its best is mutual creation. Through the interaction between teller and listener, storytelling speaks to the inner child to nurture the human spirit." - Ellin Greene, author of Storytelling: Art & Technique.

On the second Friday of the month (usually) from 7:00-8:30 p.m., storytellers, musicians and spoken word artists have an open mic, to try their voices for the first time, to hone their skills in front of a live responsive audience, to work on their presentation, or to try new ideas in a supportive atmosphere. For others, it’s a cheap night of entertainment. No reservations are necessary or taken. The organizer and emcee for this storytelling open mic is Alden (Joe) Doolittle.

"Doors" open for sign up at 6:50 p.m. There is a 10-minute limit on performance length. The emcee will weave the evening together and there will be no feedback.
