Logo for Story Circle Storytelling combines the intensity of a solo performance with the intimacy of a face-to-face conversation. "Storytelling at its best is mutual creation. Through the interaction between teller and listener, storytelling speaks to the inner child to nurture the human spirit." - Ellin Greene, author of Storytelling: Art & Technique.

Imagine a time when all of Ireland sat by the turf fire on a Sunday night, listening to Eamon Kelly, Ireland’s master storyteller, live on Radio Eireann. A storyteller in her own right for over twenty years, Kate recreates this delightful experience for you. With songs and stories, and fiddle tunes learned at the kitchen table of that other Irish master, Sligo fiddler John Vesey, Kate takes you to Ireland once again or for the first time. With tales of the old times to make you laugh, you’ll feel like you are home.

Kate has performed at the Philly Folk Festival, the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, and at numerous other storytelling and Irish festivals from New York to Chicago and beyond. She has opened for The Chieftains, Tommy Sands and Aiofe Clancy. After telling stories on Irish radio, she was invited by Ireland’s Minister of Arts, Culture, and the Gaeltacht to perform in Ireland. Some of her stories for children are featured on the national-award-winning CD, Just Kiddin’, recorded with her duo, Danaher and Cloud.
