Gusto
January 26 Kate Dudding and Nancy Marie Payne

Procrastination
February 23 Kent Busman, Jeannine Laverty and Joe Peck
Emcee Mary Fellows
Joe shares the perils of procrastination on the farm of his childhood. Jeannine shares the PEARLS of procrastination as well as the perils. And Kent, well, the latest news from him is: "I am trying to think of the right way to tell you about next month's Word Play on Procrastination, but I just keep putting it off. We hope that you don't put it off and come out for this playful February night."

Fear
March 15 Marni Gillard and Mary Murphy
Marni and Mary perform funny and serious tales on the theme of Fear - hey, we all have it! Come laugh, cry, and just plain enjoy stories that help us dance with our fears.

Inappropriate Behavior
April 12 Lorraine Hartin-Gelardi and Karen Pillsworth
Lorraine and Karen share the upsides, downsides, insides and outsides of inappropriate behavior. Producer Kate Dudding reports, “Karen told me, with a mischievous grin on her face, that she’s using the book Joy of Sex as part of one story. Who knows what we’ll be hearing from Karen and Lorraine as they explore inappropriate behavior?”

Naked Hearts
May 10 Eshu Bumpus and Motoko
Humor, music, love and desire intertwine as these two award-winning storytellers weave tales that speak to the vulnerability of human hearts. Eshu's smooth, bluesy voice and Motoko's graceful movement will entice you to a journey of the ins and outs of romance.

Word Plays was inspired by 2nd Story, produced by Serendipity Theatre in Chicago.
