Since May 2000, Lucinda has been a children’s librarian, however she has worked as youth choir director and teacher for many years previous to going back to school for her Master’s degree in Library Science. She joined the ranks of storytellers in 2004 with her first paid public performances but has been telling stories in informal settings for many years. She has taken workshops with Master Storytellers Jeannine Laverty (2002 & 2004), Laura Simms (2003), Bobby Norfolk and Beth Horner (2004), Laura Packer and Kevin Brooks (2005), Antonio Rocha (2007), as well as other local and regional storytellers. Lucinda presents programs at libraries, churches, community centers and other venues in the Capital Region and is known for her energetic performances.

Audiences: PreK-4, Family.

Programs: Brave Hearts and Bold Adventures, Timeless Tales, Multicultural Folktales, Tales of Giants and Fools, Star Stories, including participation stories.
